J.Crew Partners Up with the National Park Foundation for a Summer Capsule

As an American shopping mall staple, J.Crew’s allegiance to the States is now being showcased more than ever through its collaboration with the National Park Foundation. The new capsule consists of summery t-shirts and caps that pay tribute to a handful of the nation’s most beautiful federally-protected natural spaces, including Acadia, Badlands, Biscayne, Great Sand Dunes, and Joshua Tree.

While planning a vacation nowadays isn’t too easy, this joint effort arguably serves as the next best thing. Each tee features a park’s name neighbored by a trio of distinct critters and landmarks that give each of them their respective character, including Biscayne’s sea turtles, Joshua Tree’s scorpions, and Acadia’s Bass Harbor Head Light Station. These illustrations come courtesy of Manhattan-based artist Pauline de Roussy de Sales, whose wistful wildlife graphics also adorn the capsule’s set of twill caps.

Each of the t-shirts is made in the U.S.A. using sustainably-sourced U.S. Trust Protocol cotton, which ultimately minimizes water usage, reduces greenhouse-gas emissions, and lowers J.Crew’s carbon footprint by a good measure. Additionally, the New York-bred label has committed a $250,000 donation to support the NPF’s goal of protecting these lands for years to come.

You can pay tribute to your favorite national park in style by picking up a piece from J.Crew’s easy-going joint effort, available now on its online shop starting from $50.
