We all know that feeling of dragging of your feet across the resort parking lot at 4pm after a long day on the slopes. Your boots are unbuckled, your calves are cooked, and all you want is something soft and laceless to shove your feet into. Salomon built a silhouette for just this occasion all the way back in 2002, and although the shoe picked up a loyal little following, they eventually went the way of the dinosaur. Now the brand is bringing that original shape back as the Salomon Snowclog OG.
Back to the 2002 Blueprint
If the name rings a bell, that’s because Salomon brought the Snowclog back in 2024 with a textile upper. The OG tag is key indicator in today’s release as it points straight at the early-2000s original.
This time, the upper is water-resistant split suede, finished with a fleece cuff and a stretchy black collar that should feel similar to a cozy sock when you’re slipping in and out of them. And that old-school swirl logo and woven heel badge lean hard into the Y2K archive.
Colorways include an all-black option, a sandy Safari, and a so-called “Cyber Yellow” that looks a bit more like ballpark mustard in the photos.
Cozy Up Top, Mean Down Low
Inside, a felt lining and a wool-blend sockliner (made with 59 percent recycled material) handle the warmth, while Salomon’s infiniFOAM midsole keeps every step cushy.
And then there’s the sole. The All-Terrain Contagrip outsole wears a jagged, sawtooth lug wall that looks lifted off a snowcat track, yet each shoe still weighs just 11 ounces.
