One thing many first-time road trippers don’t consider when driving from state to state across the country is the changing of time zones. It can make or break getting to a destination in your allotted reservation window or arriving at a restaurant before closing or simply getting somewhere before the sun sets. Luckily, our phones will adjust automatically, but when we lose track of time in the car, we might not even be sure if and when the clock made the jump at all. To help aid you on your adventures, Timex’s new timepiece can cover a lot of ground.
We’ve heard of driving watches and travel watches, but the new Q Timex Three Time Zone Chronograph is a full-on road trip watch. Combining GMT functions with a chronograph mechanism, the timepiece can help you (as the name implies) keep track of three separate time zones so that you can always be on time when crossing back and forth over meridian borders. Available with either black, green, or white dial options, the watch will give you a second time zone with the red hour hand, while a third time zone can be displayed using either hour hand against the black 12-hour bezel.
Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case, the timepiece is powered by a quartz movement. As for the triple-register chronograph function operated via two pushers, the subdials are borderless and set up asymmetrically towards the left side of the dial. While all three dial options come with a black silicone strap, the black dial version has a stainless steel bracelet variant as well.
