Aimé Leon Dore has become one of the most popular brands in fashion over the past few years, developing a niche, minimalist audience that has taken over countless circles. One of those circles seems to be heritage apparel, with brands like Woolrich looking to harp on the Queens-based label’s hype. As part of the two brands’ collaborative SS22 collection, they’ve channeled the essence of fishing and Americana’s rusticity.
The sprawling collection consists of pieces inspired by the outdoor pastime, such as wading jackets, utility vests, fashionable fleeces, and convertible pants. Starting with the Fly Fishing Jacket, it’s composed of ripstop cotton and nylon, then equipped with a pair of chest flap pockets for added function. Next is the water-repellent multi-pocket vest, featuring a bevy of chest pockets and mesh panels for authenticity and breathability.
As far as the Trout Fleece Pullover goes, it features a unique jacquard pattern and color palettes that provide an added pop for any outfit. Another standout from the collection is the water-repellent Zip Off Pant, crafted from the same material as the Fly Fishing Jacket and rounded out with an adjustable belt. This isn’t the first time that Woolrich has collaborated with names leaning toward the streetwear spectrum, having recently worked with BAPE on a unique capsule, as well.
While the iconic brand is on the verge of turning 200 years old, it clearly has no problem keeping up with the times and coming together with some of the fashion world’s hottest names. Pieces in the chic joint effort are available on Woolrich’s website now starting from $60.
