Since Bodo Buschmann and Klaus Brackmann founded Brabus in Bottrop back in 1977, the German tuning house has been in the business of making already-impressive machines unreasonably better. The marque has flirted with two wheels before, most famously through its wild KTM 1300 R trilogy, each edition selling out almost instantly. So when Brabus came calling on French outfit DAB Motors for their first fully-electric motorcycle, it wasn’t exactly a surprise.
Their DAB 1 platform, and specifically the 1α, is what anchors this Brabus collab entirely. Debuted at Milan Design Week 2026, three models now carry the Brabus badge: the DAB 1α Brabus, the Brabus Urban E, and the Brabus Urban E First Edition.

The Foundation
All three bikes share the same DAB 1α electric architecture: a 72-volt lithium-ion battery system with 7.1 kWh of capacity, a carbon belt drive, and an electronically limited top speed of 75 mph. City range lands at up to 93 miles under normal urban conditions. Charging from 50 to 100 percent takes around 1.5 hours via standard household or Type 2 connections, and a full charge comes in under four hours. The platform also ships with five riding modes (Eco, Street, Sport, Nitrous, and Reverse), Brembo brakes with a 320mm floating front disc, a dual-channel ABS system, a 2.8-inch LCD display with real-time data, keyless PIN start, and a bespoke Brabus startup animation.

The Starting Point
The entry-level bike is the DAB 1α Brabus, and “entry level” is doing a lot of heavy lifting at roughly $19,500. But for that, you get the stock 1α drivetrain with 23 kW, 31 hp, and 291 lb.ft of torque at the wheel. Brabus has fitted exclusive carbon fiber components across the front fender, side intakes, engine cover inserts, and belly pan, and paired it all with blacked-out wheels bearing the Brabus signature. The seat gets the Alcantara treatment with subtle gray motorsport stitching. The overall palette is deep black with gloss and matte finishes working in contrast.
The riding experience on the base 1α platform is already defined by lightweight agility and the immediacy of electric torque. There’s no lag, so the throttle response is immediate.

Where the Build Gets Serious
The Brabus Urban E is where the collaboration finds its sharpest form. Performance is bumped by 20 percent over the base platform through revised motor mapping and an upgraded inverter: 27.6 kW, 37 hp, and 350 lb.ft of torque. The range and top speed remain the same as the entry-level bike, which tells you something about how the upgrade is tuned. Meanwhile, carbon fiber air ducts and rear winglets help ith thermal management.

Aesthetically, the Urban E leans further into signature Brabus territory: monocoque-style bodywork, exposed carbon elements, an illuminated Brabus logo up front, and LED strips integrated into the carbon intake design. The Masterpiece seat in red leather with Shell quilting is a direct callback to the same detail language Brabus uses across its car builds. There’s also a Superblack variant that swaps the red accents for all-grey leather and a more understated blacked-out finish.

Monochromatic Masterpieces
The First Edition is where DAB’s design instincts and Brabus’s collector car sensibility collide most directly. Mechanically identical to the Urban E, these are defined entirely by color and exclusivity. Four BRABUS-signature tones — Peetch, Desert Sand, Superviolet, and Fusion Red — are each applied across every surface of the bike, from the frame to the bodywork to the Masterpiece leather seat, creating a unified visual field. But the Superviolet variant gets an extra layer of exposed carbon fiber for a sportier edge. Each colorway is limited to 10 units, 40 total worldwide.

Dozens of individual parts are painted separately before final assembly, which is the only way to achieve a consistent surface across components with different materials and geometries. Brabus draws these colors directly from its supercar palette. The Fusion Red is our personal favorite, reminding us of Kaneda’s iconic bike from Akira.
