AOE’s Futuristic Sidecar Motorcycle Concept Is Actually Entering Production

Back in May of 2020, Spanish vehicle concept artist Iago Valiño unveiled a futuristic sidecar-equipped motorcycle concept inspired by BMW Motorrad’s Vision DC Roadster Concept and El Solitario MC’s Desert Wolves build series. Despite only being a render, Valiño’s concept was a huge hit with the motorcycling public, receiving an enormous amount of press and coverage.

And it appears that Valiño’s design also happened to catch the eye of Norwegian EV upstart AOE Mobility, which has since purchased the rights to the design from Iago and is now using it to generate hype for their company prior to the futuristic sidehack actually entering production. Now known as the “AOE Bike,” the electric motorcycle model represents the Oslo-based outfit’s first short term objective, with the company aiming to bring the bike to market through low volume production. AOE Mobility also aims to release a second “encapsulated motorcycle POD” following the debut of the AOE Bike.

Pricing and official specs have yet to be released — and it’s still unclear what the final production version of the AOE Bike will look like and how much it will deviate from Valiño’s original concept — though the company has announced that it plans on releasing its inaugural model in the American, Chinese, and European markets. Interested parties can also sign up for updates on the AOE Bike on the Norwegian startup’s website.
