After becoming an industry leader in all-terrain high-performance ATVs since debuting in 2008, the Polaris RZR finally gave us its first-ever purpose-built factory-backed side-by-side in 2023 with the RZR Pro R Factory. And after winning back-to-back Dakar rally races in the SSV class, Polaris is now offering a limited number of race-ready models for the public’s consumption — however, only 30 will be made.

Power and All-Terrain Performance
Made in tandem with San Diego’s SCI Motorsports, official headquarters for the RZR Factory Race Team, the 2025 RZR Pro R Factory will be powered by either the race-tuned ProStar Fury 2.0 or ProStar Fury 2.0 HO engine, which will give you 225hp or 255hp, respectively, with electronic fuel injection and mated to an automatic transmission. For better performance and cooling during extreme weather, there’s a rear-mounted radiator with dual 500W fans and an integrated transmission oil cooler.
Helping you on rough terrain are the durable 35-inch BFGoodrich KR2 tires and Method 407 bead-grip wheels with Alcon brakes and adjustable in-cab bias. Likewise, the race-spec suspension MaxLink with FOX 3.0 Live Valve X2 Internal Bypass shocks mated to the RZR Racing Dynamix DV 3.0 semi-active electronic suspension control system to help you “command the most demanding courses with next-level control.” There’s also a Baja Mode that further improves handling and bump absorption.

Race-Ready Inside and Out
Despite the race-spec, one-piece, high-strength steel chassis, the RZR Pro R Factory is a lightweight build, boasting a 2,510-pound estimated weight and optimal power-to-weight ratio thanks to carbon fiber components, including for the body panels and dash and prop shafts. You can also minimize downtime with the tools compartment for access on the go, along with the spare tire hookup in back. Likewise, 34.5L of fuel capacity gives you extended range.
The inside is just as optimized, with a pair of carbon Kevlar Sparco QRT-K seats and an equally-ergonomic Sparco 350mm suede-wrapped steering wheel with a quick disconnect function. Meanwhile, the MoTeC component system gives you a custom ride experience with real-time vehicle systems control with a digital display and switch panel so you can “capture race data with its precision loggers to continually enhance your performance.”
