Mercedes-AMG Is Making Office Chairs Modeled After Its Cars’ Race Seats

Representing some of the most high-performance, daily-drivable vehicles on the road, Mercedes’ AMG cars feature a slew of track-focused components and amenities, from advanced aero kits to race-inspired cockpits. And while these automotive upgrades have thus far only been available on AMG models, the in-house tuning brand has now taken the AMG race seat and turned it into an ultra-premium gaming and office chair.

Made in the same factory as AMG’s sports car seats, the company’s ergonomic office chair boasts an identical level of comfort and craftsmanship to the seats found in the cars. Constructed around a powder-coated frame, the chair boasts a black back shell, a seat extension, and heavily-padded 3D-adjustable armrests that rotate 30 degrees and can have their width and height adjusted. A high backrest with an integrated headrest and pronounced side bolsters together make for a remarkably plush and ergonomically shaped seat, too.

Trimmed in a cover made from an amalgamation of Artico and Dinamica, the chair also sports seatbelt openings, red decorative stripes, red decorative stitching, and a prominently-placed AMG logo badge. Riding on a five-arm base with chrome wheels, the chair also features gas spring height adjustment, a synchronous individual weight adjustment mechanism, and a free-swinging technology that can be locked into one of several different stages. The inclination of the chair’s backrest can also be manually adjusted.

The Mercedes-AMG Office Chair is available now, with pricing set at €3,500 (~$3,539). The first 50 units, however, will be reserved for members of the AMG Private Lounge.
