Benchmade’s 5085 Mini Crooked River has long been a popular choice amongst outdoorsmen and anglers, and the legendary American knife maker is now leaning into that reputation for its first Limited Edition Artist Series lineup.
The joint effort sees Benchmade team up with Bozeman, MT-based outdoor-focused artist and freelance designer Casey Underwood to produce three special variants of the Mini Crooked River, with each highlighting one of four of the most commonly-fished species in North America with a brown trout, largemouth bass, steelhead, and tarpon. The artwork is laser-marked onto both sides of the LE Benchmade knives’ 3.4” CPM-S30V steel clip-point blade, while each model also sports its own unique G10-colored handles. The Casey Underwood collaboration marks the first installment of this new Benchmade series, which will be followed by future joint efforts with other noted artists. The Oregon City outfit has also released an apparel line in conjunction with the new Artist Series release, and a percentage of the proceeds from knife and hat sales are being donated to the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers organization. Limited to 300 units in total (or 75 of each variant), the Benchmade x Casey Underwood Artist Series 5085 Mini Crooked River is priced at $350.
