WE Knife Enlists Titanium and M390 for Its Army-Inspired Muster Flipper

Military tribute gear always sounds great in theory, but for every well done piece of gear, there are a dozen laser-etched flags slapped onto gas station folders. And that’s exactly why we tend to approach the genre with a bit of caution.

But when one of the biggest names in premium production knives decides to salute the armed forces, we’re willing to hear them out. Enter the WE Knife Muster.

Reporting For Duty

The Muster headlines WE Knife’s new Armed Forces-Inspired Collection, a sprawling lineup that pays tribute to the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines with two silhouettes per branch. On the Army side, the Muster shares billing with its sibling, the Reveille.

Each knife arrives in three colorways. For the Muster, that means a blacked-out version, an olive gray take, and the desert terrain variant you see here, which pairs a camo-patterned titanium handle with a striking two-tone blade.

A Two-Tone Workhorse

Now, themed knives live or die on what’s underneath the styling, and the Muster’s spec sheet holds up. The 3.83″ clip point blade is cut from Böhler M390, the Austrian super steel that’s become shorthand for top-shelf edge retention, with a black stonewashed hollow grind sitting beneath satin flats.

At 0.16″ across the spine, this blade is properly thick. Deployment comes via a flipper tab or thumb stud riding on caged ceramic bearings, while a tried-and-true titanium framelock handles lockup.

The Star of the Show

A copper five-pointed star sits inlaid in the 6AL4V titanium handle, with the motif echoed on the thumb stud, and that’s about it. No dog tags, no dramatic engraving, just a clean nod.

But make no mistake, this is a full-size piece of hardware. The Muster stretches 8.81″ open, folds down to 4.98″, and weighs a stout 5.54 ounces. You’ll know it’s riding in your pocket, and frankly, that feels appropriate for the theme.
