What’s better than a vintage Ferrari? If you answered “a one-of-a-kind vintage Ferrari,” then you’ve found yourself amongst good company. And that’s especially true if, like us, you don’t shy away from classic cars that are a little bit off the wall – like this 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Shooting Brake that’s headed to auction.
Brought to us by Gooding & Co, this vintage ride is actually a 1965 330 GT 2+2 customized by Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti Jr, envisioned by American artist Bob Peak, and built by Vignale – an Italian coachbuilding firm. Sure, it’s not an officially Ferrari model and isn’t quite as sleek and… red as one might expect – but the uniqueness, impressive styling, and the fact that it is both believed to be the last Vignale-built Ferrari and was owned by Jamiroquai frontman and hardcore gear head Jay Kay more than make up for any perceived drawbacks. It’s expected to sell for between $700,000 and $900,000.
