Last month, Unimatic gave us its second-ever GMT watch, following up on the success of its first: a limited-edition collab with Hodinkee from the year before. Now, the Italian watchmaker debuts yet another highly exclusive GMT, teaming up with luxury menswear experts at The Rake and its watch magazine, Revolution.

Designed for glacial stealth, Unimatic’s latest GMT, dubbed the Arctic Fox, is a white version of the U1S-GMT. But this is more than just a new colorway. The steel case is given a surface treatment of white Cerakote — a ceramic-based finish that provides additional scratch and corrosion resistance when exposed to the elements. Unlike other white-out watches, this one favors visibility, with black borders around the GMT hand and hour markers, creating contrast with the matte white dial.

Also notable is the unadorned steel on the bezel, which plays against the white color. Likewise, you can choose from three strap options: white rubber, fabric, and a snow-camo NATO strap. Although there are plenty of new features, the watch is still built on the template provided by the previous GMT models, and thus the Uno Modello before that — mainly, the 40mm case overshadowed by a 41.5mm bezel and the 300m dive parameters.
