Timex and Todd Snyder’s Sky King Chronograph Is Inspired by Military Field Watches from the ’60s

In an industry cluttered with both inspired and gratuitous collaborations, the one between Todd Snyder and Timex continues to be one of our favorites. From reimaginings of the latter’s iconic Q diver to vintage-influenced dress watches like the Gold Welton Bi-Metal, the occasional team-up between the two labels is one that we’ll never get tired of.

For their latest endeavor, the pairing has been inspired by the ‘60s-era utility timepieces worn by the United States military. However, the new MK-1 Sky King takes that field watch approach and blends it with a sporty chronograph — the first ever from Todd Snyder — for a striking aesthetic in either orange or black dials with lumed hands.

Featuring a date window at the 3 o’clock spot, the dial sports three totalizers circling the left side, visible through the domed acrylic crystal covering. Adorned with an olive-colored canvas slip-through strap made from recycled clothing and leather tan lining, the 42mm stainless steel case houses a quartz movement and boasts 50m of water resistance.

Available now in both colorways, the Timex x Todd Snyder MK-1 Sky King is priced at just $178.
