Every guy needs a proper field watch to help them tackle the outdoors. While there are a near-innumerable amount of gear outlets that churn out adventure watches, finding the right one can be cumbersome and overwhelming. Thankfully, there are companies like BOLDR Supply Company that make high-quality outdoor watches that are stylish, reliable, and last a lifetime. Now, the Singapore-based brand is teaming up with fellow countrymate and gear standout, Nitecore, to create their first-ever watch and rechargeable flashlight collaboration: the Kraken.
The limited-edition Kraken collaboration includes three items: a special-edition Venture field watch, a Nitecore TIKI torch, and a custom branded patch. Highlighting the package is the Kraken Venture field watch, a suave and tactical timepiece that features a matte black dial with topographical etchings and Nitecore co-branding. Its orange hour hand contrasts with its black dial wonderfully while the Old-Radium C3 Super-LumiNova-filled indices provide legibility in the darkest conditions. The Venture also features a bi-directional 12-hour titanium bezel with an aluminum insert, a Seiko-made SII NH35A automatic movement, and an extremely wearable and lightweight 38mm titanium case.
Joining the rugged Venture field watch is Nitecore’s TIKI torch. This stout, rechargeable torch packs an impressive UV 1000mW output, which is strong enough to charge the Venture field watch’s lume in a pinch. It features a durable GITD polycarbonate and stainless steel construction, a rechargeable battery, and two modes: warning flashing and reading lamp. What’s more, this tiny powerhouse balances form and function, with a runtime of two hours and a black and gold topographic theme to match the watch.
Rounding off the collection is the custom-branded patch of the mean-looking Kraken, which provides some more rugged character to this tactical capsule. All in all, this collaboration is a fantastic one-two punch for these two Singaporean standouts. The BOLDR x Nitecore Kraken project is limited to just 100 pieces and is available for preorder now for $399.
