Ducati’s centenary year has already given us the unhinged Superleggera V4 Centenario and a Tricolore variant to chase it. But the celebration just took a hard left into your kitchen, and this thing is sure to be a hit among caffeinated motor enthusiasts.
Teaming up with Swiss espresso outfit Cuisine Barista, the Italian marque has unveiled the Barista M3 1926 Limited Edition Carbon Fiber by Ducati. It’s a mouthful of a name for what’s essentially the most Ducati-coded coffee machine ever made. And yes, the front and back panels are wrapped in the same twill-weave carbon fiber that armors the brand’s track bikes.

Form Follows Function (Then Wraps It in Carbon)
Cuisine Barista calls this the only true carbon fiber capsule machine in the world, and looking at it, that’s a tough claim to dispute. Three precision-laid layers of 1.5mm twill carbon make up the front and rear panels, with the rest finished in stainless steel under a PVD coating.
The styling pulls directly from Borgo Panigale’s playbook. There’s a red Ducati badge front and center, a backlit red plate on the rear that looks lifted off a superbike tail section, and three tactile dials sitting alongside a small digital readout.

What’s Actually Under the Carbon
The party trick is a proprietary heating element that gets the machine brew-ready in seven seconds with no warm-up ritual required. All you have to do is walk up and pull a shot.

From there, you’ve got precision temperature control from 70°C to 99°C that includes three separate extraction profiles (light, standard, strong), and adjustable pre-infusion to coax more aromatics out of the grind. The machine pumps up to 19 bar, and handles an impressive12 preset drinks at the touch of a button. You can even pair it with the companion app for both descaling alerts and consumption stats.

The In-Cup Frother Is the Real Flex
Cuisine Barista is also billing this as the world’s first in-cup milk frother, and it’s actually quite clever. Pour milk into the included Ducati cup, slide it under the head, and induction does the rest. No carafe, no second device, and no extra parts to wash.
For purists, there’s also a traditional steam wand with the same pressure path you’d find behind a commercial bar. Convenience and control, depending on the morning.

Now, the asterisk: this is a capsule machine – and that’s certainly our only complaint here. It runs on Nespresso-style pods, not your own beans through a portafilter. At three grand, that’ll definitely be a sticking point for many.
