Fans of Todd Snyder are well aware of the designer’s admiration for anything classic. From collaborations with Converse to a consistently running line with athleisure veterans in Champion, the New York-based label simply can’t get enough of some good old-fashioned American style. Well, veering off the path just a bit, Snyder’s latest joint effort branches out to another name that’s synonymous with Americana, but less involved in the fashion space: Harley-Davidson.
The motorcycle manufacturer has been around for well over a century and has ultimately become woven into the fabric of American culture, so it only makes sense for it to join forces with a brand that embodies classic American style and sensibilities as much as Todd Snyder. Garnering inspiration from Harley’s technical moto jackets and racing sweaters of old, Snyder ultimately managed to conjure up quite a noteworthy collection of clothing with this new capsule that also incorporates frequent partner Champion.
The stylish new collection consists of an array of pieces, with some of the most notable being a checkered button-up shirt, a handful of subtle crewnecks, and a pair of denim jackets embellished with embroidered Harley-Davidson branding. Additionally, the line is rounded out with some graphic tees and a crisp pair of white pants, going to show that the warmer months are right around the corner.
Todd Snyder’s latest collaboration may come as a surprise to some, but it makes perfect sense to anyone familiar with what the brand is all about. The N.Y.C. designer’s cooperative collection with Harley-Davidson and Champion is set to release on Todd Snyder’s website beginning February 25th.
