Tree tents and hammocks may not be your first choice for your next camping outing, but suspended sleeping helps you evade the hard, wet ground and eliminate the number of critters that make their way into your sack. Tentsile has long been one of the industry leaders in above-ground sleeping due to its broad selection of sturdy and spacious options. And now, the company is giving back to Mother Earth with its new Ocean Range.

In honor of World Ocean Day, Tentsile has debuted versions of its hammock and UNA tree tent made entirely from reclaimed ocean plastics. Utilizing the equivalent of 128 plastic bottles from the Pacific Ocean, the Ocean UNA is the world’s first tree tent made from 100% recycled ocean fabrics. It’s a single-person tree tent that uses 70% less water in the production process. The suspended tent still features the signature design of the UNA with a double-layered floor and 2,500HH rainfly. Ample storage room is also included, with 2 internal pockets, a hanging pocket, and an external underfloor compartment for larger items such as backpacks. Weighing just over 5lbs, the UNA is perfect for backpackers.

Likewise, the Ocean Hammock utilizes the equivalent of 31 reclaimed plastic bottles and even comes with an internal storage pouch and phone pocket. At only 1.3lbs and stretching 9ft long, the Hammock can fit even the tallest hikers and is perfect for quick day trips to the beach or park, offering respite during a long day’s excursion. The Ocean UNA and Ocean Hammock both come in just one color — white — to eliminate the pollution caused when using chemical dyes.

Both sleepers are easy to set up and take down and are now currently available from Tentsile’s website. The Ocean Hammock retails for $90 and the Ocean UNA for $350.

Purchase: $90+
