From picture frames that double as audio units to versatile bookshelf speakers, IKEA and Sonos have unveiled several innovative products since launching their collaboration back in 2019. Among those items was the SYMFONISK Speaker Lamp, a tabletop unit with either glass or textile shade options.

Now, IKEA announced a new, taller addition to the SYMFONISK range. The Floor Lamp Speaker utilizes vertical space for a more commanding audio unit that’s decidedly a piece of furniture before anything else. Giving users more options when it comes to decorating their homes, the speaker stands on its own circular base, extended down from its tripod legs.

Stylish in its own right, the shade on top of the Sonos speaker unit provides a new aesthetic as well, made from bamboo with slots that emit the light, although alternative shade options will be sold separately. Like all the products in the SYMFONISK range, the Floor Lamp Speaker connects via Wi-Fi so you can listen to music or podcasts without needing your phone nearby.

Priced at $260, the SYMFONISK Floor Lamp Speaker will be available from IKEA starting in January.
