The Case Has Its Own Phone Plan
While the earbuds are great, we’d argue it’s not even the star of the show here. The ribbed metallic charging case, which looks like a shrunken guitar amp head, hides a four-microphone beamforming array and a 4G LTE eSIM with carrier agreements spanning more than 80 countries and regions.
That means the case records in-person conversations from up to 16.4 feet away, then uploads and transcribes everything over cellular with no phone in sight. It’ll run for an impressive 25 hours of continuous recording, and a dedicated light tells the room when it’s rolling.
Say It, Consider It Done
All of that captured audio feeds Plaud Agent, which is summoned via a “Hey Plaud” trigger or a dedicated button on the case. Hooked into Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, it can then draft your follow-up email while the meeting is still happening.
But, and this is a sizable but, agentic tasks burn Plaud Credits (a problem heavy AI users are becoming all too familiar with). Buyers get $200 worth included, and the company admits it hasn’t finalized what those tasks will cost long term. You’re essentially beta testing the business model along with the hardware.
The Earbud Fine Print
The 4.5-gram buds pack 12mm dynamic drivers, adaptive ANC rated up to 40dB, Bluetooth 5.4 multipoint, and Apple Find My support. LDAC is aboard for hi-res playback, though iPhone owners will default to plain SBC, and there’s no aptX for the Android crowd.
Six hours of ANC-off battery is merely average in 2026. Then again, nobody’s buying these to replace their daily music buds.

The Plaud One Explorer Edition is priced at $249.99 and limited to 2,000 units worldwide, with shipments slated for Q4 2026 ahead of a wider retail rollout in 2027. Preorders opened in late August, and Plaud’s site has since flipped to a waitlist, so the first allocation appears spoken for.
