Todd Snyder Begins a New Era with Its First Original Shoe Design

Through stylish joint efforts with the likes of Converse, New Balance, and L.L.Bean, anyone can recognize Todd Snyder’s admiration for classic silhouettes. However, what may surprise you is the fact that the New York-based brand is yet to unveil footwear of its own… until today, that is. By fusing its knowledge of essential garments with a passion for artisanal craftsmanship, the renowned designer label has unveiled the Nomad Boot, and the results are clean-cut.

The new release boasts a very traditional desert boot look, much of which is in part to its rich, Italian calf suede makeup. Not only does its textile stem from the Bel Paese, but each handsome pair is crafted from heel to toe in Italy. The Nomad sits on a rubber sole that measures under half an inch, is finished off with a set of round cotton laces, and comes available in four subtle colors: Tobacco, Tan, Aloe, and Seppia.

It’d be easy to say that the decade-old label chose to play it safe with its first original shoe release, but that would be overlooking what Todd Snyder does best. As one of the more versatile names in modern menswear, the brand’s allegiance to sartorial pieces and the quintessence of Americana has led to the curation of a vast catalog, and this new pair of chukkas is another stellar showcase of the brand’s ethos.

While we don’t expect this to be Snyder’s last shoe, the fact that it is the first serves as enough of a milestone to consider adding a pair to your spring wardrobe. Todd Snyder’s Nomad Boot is now available for $248 on the brand’s website.
