First Time in Two-Tone
Until now, the woven Moab mule has only been offered in solid colors. This drop marks the first time Merrell has introduced contrast into the weave itself, and it’s a really rad visual integration.
The Talus/Diorite pairs a cream and gray basket weave over an olive-drab base, while the Beluga/Sugar Kelp runs a golden strap through near-black leather for something considerably louder. Prefer stealth? Merrell has you covered with the the Black/Beluga, which keeps the checkered texture while staying fully blacked-out.
Still a Moab Where It Counts
That woven upper is full-grain leather, hand-laced into a herringbone pattern that feels more like an artisanal huarache than a standard outdoor clog.
You’re also getting the real deal underneath. A Vibram Ecostep Recycle outsole (made with 30% recycled rubber) handles traction, backed by Merrell’s Air Cushion heel, a molded nylon arch shank, and a lightweight EVA midsole. The lining and footbed cover are fully recycled mesh, and the whole affair weighs under 14 ounces per shoe.
