Nike has a long history in the golf scene, introducing its first lineup of gear back in ‘84, and endorsing Seve Ballesteros as its first official golf partner. The brand’s most famous partnership, however, was with the legendary Tiger Woods, who officially parted ways with Nike last month. This came as a big surprise to both fans and the industry, and it was followed by Tiger teasing his own line of apparel. And now it’s official, as Tiger Woods has unveiled his new brand, Sun Day Red, a performance-oriented label launching with help from TaylorMade.

Drawing upon his experience as a Nike partner and golf legend, Tiger is focused on performance-oriented apparel, promising gear that uses “advanced temperature-control materials.” It’s also confirmed that the lineup will include luxury logo tees, fleece outerwear, and hats for more casual options. Tiger himself is playing a significant role in the design here, making sure to include enhanced shoulder seaming for an enhanced range of motion for swings, lightweight zippers and pockets, and details designed specifically for performance. The tiger logo is also a nod to Tiger’s legacy, with 15 stripes to signify his 15 major wins, and the “Red” in the label’s name is a shoutout to his favorite color.

Regarding the new brand, Tiger states, “There are things that I could tell you that no one knew I was doing over the years. I’m ready to share those secrets with the world. Sun Day Red will embody a love of playing and competing, and we are for people that share those values, whether it’s on the course, or in life. We will be anchored to putting the athlete first in the product decisions we make.”
