El Solitario and Sebago Team for an Ultra-Cool Pair of Leather Loafers

Having been around for over 60 years, Maine-based Sebago is undoubtedly one of America’s most storied shoemakers. Working alongside custom moto shop and lifestyle brand El Solitario, the heritage shoe brand is looking to Cheat Death with an aptly-named pair of chic leather moccasins.

By fusing Sebago’s timeless design with El Solitario’s commitment to pushing the envelope, the premium-quality kicks serve as a seamless testament to each brand’s mission statement. The collaborative moccasins are hand-crafted by Sebago and built to withstand whatever gets thrown at them. They are composed of an extremely sleek black calf leather upper, then rounded out with a leather lining and waterproof leather sole with rubber heel, making for a loafer that’s as durable as it is luxurious.

While this enviously smooth composition manages to steal the show, each shoe’s tongue is embellished with the words “Cheat” and “Death” in gold script, playing as an unsubtle homage to the moto community’s “thrill-seeking spirit.” While these two disparate brands are major players in their respective worlds, the element that brings them together is adherence to meticulous craftsmanship, which is fully displayed in this handsome, rather-surprising collaboration.

If you’re looking for some new loafers to add to your summer wardrobe, we’d definitely recommend this devil-may-care take on Sebago’s classic Dan Tag loafer. The fashionable joint effort is now available to buy on El Solitario’s online shop for €250 (~$264).
