Red Wing Reaches Deep Into Its Historic Archives For a 100% Upcycled Workwear Collection

Despite the fast fashion trend continuing to gain more and more popularity, some brands have been unwavering in their old-school approach to manufacturing, churning out high-quality goods that, while more costly to produce, are genuinely built to last a lifetime. One such outfit is Minnesota’s Red Wing Shoes, which has been expertly crafting hardwearing American-made boots since its inception in 1905. And with such an expansive history to draw from, Red Wing Heritage has now reached deep into both its modern and vintage archives to deliver a special, limited edition collection of completely upcycled products.

Appropriately dubbed the Red Wing Heritage Same Old Collection, this incredibly unique capsule is comprised of more than 50 items in total — 32 of which consist of men’s boots from different decades of Red Wing’s history. This includes a myriad of Red Wing’s most iconic models from Huntsman and Skytrooper boots to Classic Mocs to Iron Rangers to Blacksmiths to Classic Round Toes to Roughnecks to Beckman Rounds. the collection even features a vintage J. Crew Irish Setter Sport Boot.

On top of the capsule of limited edition boots, the Minnesota footwear brand has also revealed a collection of 20 upcycled memorabilia items such as vintage shirts and pants, hats, patches, mugs, bags, stoneware, jackets, travel cases, a scale model Red Wing tractor and trailer, a backlit wall sign, and a vintage neon clock. What’s more, alongside the collection, Red Wing has also launched a corresponding campaign that, like the capsule, is completely upcycled, with the collection even using preexisting advertising from Red Wing’s past.

The Red Wing Heritage Same Old Collection will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, September 20. Pricing for the memorabilia starts at just $5 while pricing for the boots begins at $85.
