Mission Workshop Reconstructs Its Prospect Hoodie with Polartec Power Wool

As one of the leaders in the niche space, it’s never surprising when Mission Workshop outdoes itself by instituting some new sort of technical material that everyone’s dying to get behind. That said, we’re not surprised to see the impressive new hoodie constructed by the Bay Area-bred brand.

By taking one of its staple designs and engineering or from a pair of two premium technical fabrics, Mission has unveiled a Power Wool-crafted version of its popular The Prospect hoodie. The new, 4-way stretch iteration of this flagship garment has Merino wool next to the skin for the sake of plushness, warmth, and odor resistance. This versatile material also serves as a breathable outer surface still built to withstand unpredictable conditions, primarily thanks to its moisture-wicking capabilities.

Moreover, Polartec’s Power Wool textile breakdown is 47% wool, 42% nylon, and 11% spandex, which explains how a material can be so warm, stretchy, and lightweight simultaneously. Additionally, Mission Workshop’s use of Tweave Durastrech 520E provides top-tier elbow, forearm, and shoulder reinforcement, guaranteeing durability and longevity in areas where most other hoodies tend to fall apart through the years. Materials aside, the hoodie features a 3-panel hood and pass-through warmer pockets with reinforced stitching to ensure sturdiness and coziness.
