Maharishi and Fracap are most certainly not strangers, as the two delivered on an excellent collaboration in 2020. Looking to continue that trend, the London-based sustainable utilitarian brand has called upon the Italian craftsmen for yet another striking silhouette with the Jungle Boot.
Entirely inspired by the footwear that military servicemen wore during the Vietnam War, it is clear that Fracap did a superb job pulling from the stomper’s stomping grounds. Considering that the brand has designed collections for the Italian Army for over eighty years, Fracap managed to bring that same tactical approach here. Handmade in Italy, the Jungle Boot is crafted from premium vegetable-dyed leather and suede, putting the eco-cognizant take on fashion that Maharishi has been implementing into its craft for decades on grand display. In addition to the leathers, the boots are constructed using an incredibly sturdy canvas and suede lining for keeping things warm and comfortable with every step you take. Rounding out the build is a Vibram Gum Lite Commando sole that is extremely durable and offers excellent grip, all the while remaining lightweight and keeping the boots ultra-wearable. Finished off with debossed Mahiarishi branding, all potential buyers of these boots have left to do is make a tough decision between the two available colorways: black and olive or entirely blacked-out.
As an added bonus, each pair comes alongside a Fracap cleaning brush. For $425, the Jungle Boot will be available for purchase online and in Maharishi retailers located in New York and London, respectively, beginning November 5.
