Oakley has been a force in the sunglasses space for decades, but the brand making some of the most-discussed techwear on the market has been impressive to watch unfold. Back in March, the brand’s Latitude line handed us a $700 shell jacket that folded down into a sling bag, and we were excited to see how this collection would evolve over time. And the answer arrived this week in the form of the Oakley Latitude FW26 collection.
Some Assembly Required
The headliner this season is the Veil 3L Shell Parka, the piece Oakley is hanging its entire “2D-to-3D” Morphware concept on. So how does this translate to real world use? The parka starts out as a completely flat panel, which is the closest thing to flat-pack furniture we’ve ever seen applied in outerwear.
Build it up and you get a 10K waterproof shell with a detachable split-zip hood, underarm zips, and shoulder vents for dumping heat on the move. When the skies clear, the whole thing breaks back down flat and hangs off your shoulder via an internal sling strap for hands-free carry.
Knits, Boots, and a Two-Faced Balaclava
As expected, the supporting cast runs deep here, too. The Latitude Veil Knitted Baselayer and Pant are cut from zero-waste eco-knit engineered to mold directly to the body, while the rugged Phantom Coyote Boot handles footwear duty.
Our favorite piece might be the Latitude Flex Balaclava, though, a 2-in-1 design that converts from a technical cap into full head coverage when conditions turn ugly. And for the eyewear faithful, the sculptural Oakley Suture Coat frame rounds out the capsule when it arrives later this year.
From Jellyfish to Flat-Packs
If you’re just tuning in, Morphware debuted in 2025 as a design language borrowing from parachutes and jellyfish, and it has since settled into a steady rhythm with a new chapter landing every spring and fall. Whatever you think of the “adaptive clothing” pitch, we’re excited to see brands pushing the envelope with creative new ideas.
For FW26, Oakley put Team Oakley athlete Ralph Welponer on some seriously dramatic alpine terrain, captured by creative lead Daniel Conrad Loosli, and the creative direction and imagery is just as impressive as the garments.

The Latitude FW26 collection lands September 15th at Oakley’s website and select Oakley stores and partners worldwide. Oakley hasn’t published pricing as of writing, though for reference, the spring Latitude collection ran from $155 up to $700 for its headline jacket.
