HOKA Updates Its Bondi Road Runner with a Longer Heel and Lighter Foam

For running enthusiasts, pounding the pavement can be as uncomfortable as the idiom sounds. Fortunately, brands like HOKA ONE ONE exist to help keep our feet, and all the body parts above them, free from discomfort and injury while running, walking, and hiking. The formerly French-based footwear brand has been busy lately, whether it’s giving a big update to its Speedgoat trail runners or debuting the Tecton X as its first-ever carbon-plated shoe.

Now, HOKA gives a major lift to its already-amazing flagship model, the Bondi 8, a top-of-the-line road running shoe that provides you with unbelievable comfort and performance, while also tempting you to leave it on for your day-to-day activities. Among the new features is the extended heel geometry for better balance and sturdier support. This goes along with the rear crash pad that lets you ride with ease as your body weight shifts from heel to toe.

The Bondi 8 is also built with a brand-new foam cushion that’s both lighter and more resilient than on the previous model, if that’s even possible. Of course, the standard features also make a return, such as the mesh construction, Ortholite sock liner, zonal rubber placement, Durabrasion rubber outsole, and a partially gusseted tongue (with a new pillowed construction).

You can head over to HOKA’s online shop to grab yourself your new favorite running shoe for $165. The Bondi 8 comes in blue, black, orange/yellow, and gray colorways and is available in sizes 7 to 16, from regular to extra-wide.
