And the South Carolina company’s latest release perfectly encapsulates this MO with a rugged yet lightweight rooftop tent with a sub-$3,000 MSRP.
Tipping the scales at just 116.8lbs, SylvanSport’s latest release is known as the LOFT. Measuring 82.6” x 50.7” x 11” when closed and 82.6” x 50.7” x 41.3” with the tent deployed, this rooftop tent is constructed around a powder-coated steel and aluminum frame that’s been paired with a molded, composite ABS shell, high-density screen windows, and 280g, PU-coated T/C tent fabric. The tent also sports a 2″ 40D foam sleeping pad, and a four-way air circulation system that prevents mosquitoes and other bugs from entering. The entire tent is also deployed using a four-way lift system that utilizes a quad hydraulic arm setup that enables the RTT to pop up or break down in mere seconds.
The Brevard-based business has also bestowed the LOFT with a slew of amenities to make of-grid living more comfortable. This includes a pair of hanging organizer pockets, two bungee net gear lofts for stowing away bedding and other larger items, an anti-condensation mat, and an included portable and rechargeable fan-light combo system. Alongside the LOFT rooftop tent itself, the entire kit also includes an extendable access ladder, awning rods, a remote-controllable fan and light combo, and a wrench and all necessary mounting hardware.
