Spyros Panopoulos’ Chaos Is Being Touted as the World’s First Ultracar

One of the hallmarks of the automotive space is the constant pursuit of pushing a car’s performance capabilities. At the moment, hybrid hypercars serve as the performance apex of what the automotive industry is capable of creating. However, there are some automotive mad scientists who believe that hypercars are simply too pedestrian and that the world deserves an even greater caliber of street-legal car. Enter the Spyros Panopoulos Chaos Zero Gravity.

The Chaos is the first “Ultracar” in both the world and in the lineup of Spyros Panopoulos Automotive. The Greek company was founded by namesake owner Spyros Panopoulos, an accomplished drag racing engine builder whose unbridled creativity and technological acumen seemingly know no bounds. His aptly named Ultracar, the Chaos, comes in two versions: the Earth version and the Zero Gravity. For the sake of discussion, we’ll be focusing on the Zero Gravity, as its performance specs read as if they were written in a science-fiction book. Its power output is a logic-defying 3,064hp with an equally behemoth 1,463lb-ft of torque, while the engine redlines between 11,800 and 12,200rpm. This insane power translates to a 0-62mph time of a scant 1.55 seconds, a 62-124mph run in an additional 1.7 seconds, and a quarter-mile speed of around 7.5 seconds. Of course, with acceleration and power of that magnitude, it should come as no surprise that the Zero Gravity Chaos has a blistering top speed of 310mph. All of these otherworldly stats are the product of a 90-degree V10 engine with an engine block made from 3D-printed magnesium alloy.

Panopoulos deployed his out-of-the-box approach to design and 3D-printed seemingly every part of this car to make it as precise, aerodynamic, lightweight, and powerful as possible. For those interested in owning one of these mind-boggling marvels, the Zero Gravity Chaos will retail for around $14,000,000 and the first orders are planned to start shipping in early 2022. You can register your interest now at the brand’s website.
