While Lexus is known for offering markedly more luxurious vehicles than its Toyota-made counterparts, the premium Japanese brand nonetheless churns out some incredibly tough and off-road capable SUV models. In an effort to demonstrate this point, Lexus has prepared a number of SUV-based off-road and overland projects for this year’s SEMA Show — the most noteworthy of which is almost certainly the Lexus LX 600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept.

Starting with the 409-hp LX 600, the build has been gifted an enormous slew of off-road upgrades and accessories from some of the most esteemed brands in the overlanding space. This includes JAOS carbon fiber over fenders, aluminum side steps, custom modular bumpers fore and aft crafted from 10-gauge mild steel, 20” Vossen forged wheels wrapped in BFG all-terrain rubber, and a suite of light pods and light bars from RIGID Industries.

Onboard storage was another major focus of the one-off build, leading the team at Lexus to bestow the SUV with YETI LoadOut GoBoxes and a TrekBoxx Expedition System. The rig has also received a Dissent Offroad 5052 aluminum rack system accommodating a set of YETI Tundra coolers, a pair of YETI Trailhead camp chairs, an Agency shovel, and red-anodized billet grab handles. Bolstering the SUV’s off-grid living capabilities is also a pull-out awning and a Switch-Pros 9100 Series switch panel power system with a Bluetooth interface.

The Lexus LX 600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept is currently on display at the 2022 SEMA Show in Las Vegas where it will remain until the event’s conclusion this Friday.
