LEGO’s famous Speed Champions collection is wheeling out a new build dedicated to another pair of iconic hypercars. The beloved toy brand’s latest additions to its race-inspired lineup are the McLaren Solos GT and McLaren F1 LM, celebrating 60 years of the British luxury marque.
While the actual Solus GT will be limited to a mere 25 models, this brick-built example is much easier to get your hands on. LEGO’s take on the matter stays true to form, boasting the sleek, angular look that appears on McLaren’s newest track-only sports car. On the other hand, the F1 LM is shown off the in the auto manufacturer’s famous shade of papaya orange. Overall, the build is constructed of precisely 581 pieces; however, LEGO doesn’t specify the number each car consists of. Moreover, the Le Mans-winning model measures over 5.5” long and 2.5” wide, assuring you can easily transport between the desk at your home office and the actual workplace.
Best of all, the two-in-one set features a pair of driver Minifigures for good measure, each decked out in McLaren-branded gear from the neck down. Seeing as the two have churned out several small-scale replicas through the past decade, this new build shouldn’t be a huge surprise, but it will surely make a great piece of decor on any empty bookshelf.
