As if the most basic iteration of Bentley’s Mulliner Batur wasn’t luxurious enough, the British auto marque has just introduced an entirely new innovation to its opulent design. By executing a high-tech, 3D-printing process, Bentley has implemented as much as 210 grams of solid gold into 18 exclusive examples.

Working alongside Cooksongold, a Birmingham-based goldsmith, the two renowned names utilized nothing but sustainably sourced gold recycled from old precious jewelry directly from Birmingham’s jewelry district to begin its 3D printing process. Moreover, the marque hoped to avoid mining for new precious metals to further showcase its commitment to a sustainable future. At the end of the day, Bentley has already spoken on its aspiration to be carbon neutral come to the turn of the decade. Using CAD models, each glistening element is put to form, including a golden Charisma dial, dial components in the front grille, the inimitable Organ Stop vent, and more.

To no surprise, the limited edition model is powered by Bentley’s top-grade 6-liter, twin-turbocharged W12 engine, paving the way for just under 730hp — in laymen’s terms, unless engineers planned on putting gold inside of it, there wasn’t much room for improvement there. Additionally, the luxury coupe retains its four-wheel steering capabilities and active anti-roll bars.

Although all 18 examples have already been sold to Mulliner clients for roughly $1.98 million, you can still take a closer look at the remarkable model on Bentley’s website.
