When Dodge first dusted off the Super Bee badge for a Ram pickup back in 2004, it was mostly a paint job. Solar yellow body, black stripe across the bedside, a 345-horsepower 5.7L Hemi, and a regular cab. It definitely looked the part, but it didn’t really back it up.
Two decades later, Ram is bringing the nameplate back, and this time the badge has the bite to match. The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee arrives as a full three-truck family of street-focused muscle pickups, topped by a 777-horsepower SRT variant that’s gunning for the production-truck top speed record set by the Viper-powered Ram SRT-10 way back in 2004.

Three Bees, Three Hemis
The lineup splits across the V8 spectrum. The base Rumble Bee runs the 5.7L Hemi at 395 horsepower – which is no slouch by any means. The 392 steps up to the 6.4L naturally aspirated “Apache” V8 making quite a bit more power, clocking in at 470 horsepower. This also marks the first time Ram has dropped that engine into a 1500. But let’s get to what we came here for; the SRT.

Sitting at the top is the same supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 you’ll find in the TRX, here making 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque. Ram is claiming a 3.4-second 0 to 60 time, an 11.6-second quarter mile, and a top speed approaching 170 mph. All of that, in a pickup truck.

A Shorter Wheelbase, On Purpose
Every Rumble Bee runs the smaller quad cab with the 5-foot-7 bed. Ram chopped 13 inches out of the wheelbase versus a crew cab. The width stays at a hefty 88 inches, borrowing the widebody fenders from the TRX and RHO off-roaders.

The SRT and 392 Track Pack get all the good stuff including Bilstein semi-active dampers, four-corner air suspension that drops the truck another 1.5 inches in Track mode, and 22-by-12-inch wheels wearing 325-section Goodyears. Ram says that’s the second-widest rolling stock the brand has ever put on a production vehicle. What’s the first, you ask? The Dodge Viper.

Stopping a Three-Ton Truck
For stopping power, Ram outfitted with the pickup with six-piston Brembos paired with16.1-inch front rotors on the SRT, which Ram also claims are the largest in the class.

There’s a 4.5-inch front splitter, a tailgate-mounted rear spoiler bolted down at eight anchor points, and an underbody aero shield to help keep the nose planted at higher speeds. The result, according to Ram, is a pickup that pulls 0.89 g on a skidpad. On all-seasons, no less.
