Porsche’s regional one-offs used to feel like footnotes, but lately they’ve turned into some of the most interesting cars the brand makes. And, that’s partly because the 992.II Turbo S is perhaps a bit too clinical to leave alone, and partly because Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has gotten really good at telling stories with paint codes and stitching.
The latest is the 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition, a Kuwait-only run of 20 cars commemorating seven decades since Morad Behbehani drove a 356 Cabriolet off a Kuwaiti dock in 1956, making it one of the earliest Porsche dealerships anywhere on the planet.

Cremewhite, Gloss Black, and a Woven Decal
This Porsche’s gorgeous bodywork wears Cremewhite paint (51A in the Porsche catalog) against the SportDesign Package in gloss black, with 20- and 21-inch Sport Classic wheels split between the same two tones. The wheels also drop the standard Turbonite Porsche crest in favor of the colored version, which is a really nice, subtle touch.
Now, the actual Sadu reference. Al Sadu is a Bedouin wool-weaving tradition added to UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list in 2020. He’s defined by his use of horizontal geometric patterns in deep, saturated tones. Porsche leveraged that aesthetic, and translated it into a decal that runs along the lower doors and beneath the rear wing, rendered in Bordeaux Red, Guards Red, GT Silver, and Black.

A Bordeaux Red Cabin That Doesn’t Hold Back
Open the door, and the cabin is upholstered in two-tone Black and Bordeaux Red leather with hand-stitched cross-stitching in GT Silver and Bordeaux Red across the dash, doors, and console.

The Sports Seat Plus units carry the woven Sadu pattern up the seatback in textile (not just a print), and “70 Years” is embossed into the headrests in Arabic script. The door sill guards house 20 illuminated aluminum squares (one for each car built), with the seventh lit in red as a nod to the anniversary.

701 Horses, Untouched
Unsurprisingly, Porsche didn’t try to “improve” the powertrain. The Sadu Edition runs the same T-Hybrid setup as every other 992.II Turbo S: which is a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six paired with a permanent-magnet motor integrated into the PDK, backed by a 1.9-kWh battery.

Output clocks in at 701 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, which is good for a 2.4-second sprint to 60 mph alongside a 200-mph top end. Stopping is handled by PCCB ceramics with high-gloss black calipers, with a front-axle lift and titanium sports exhaust rounding out the hardware.
