Owing to its blend of luxury, performance, and sporty driving experience, the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 has been a fan-favorite grand touring sports car since its debut in 2012 (refreshed again in 2022). And now, the marque has introduced a very limited-edition Golden Coast variant as part of its bespoke MANUFAKTUR program.
The Same Ol’ AMG SL 63, But with a Twist
Limited to just 100 units worldwide, the MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast takes after the 2025 AMG SL 63 convertible, which means it’s powered by an AMG 4.0-liter V8 bit-turbo engine delivering 577hp, 590lb.ft of torque, and a 0-to-60 time of 3.5 seconds thanks to a Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. It’s mated to an AMG Speedshift 9-speed automatic transmission with multi-clutch technology (MCT).
Golden State of Mind
As you might know, Mercedes-AMG’s MANUFAKTUR service is a selling point for a lot of owners for the ability to hand-select exterior paint, interior trim, and even materials. For this pre-made MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast edition, Mercedes includes a body coat in Kalahari Gold Magno, inspired by the “gleaming golden sand beaches,” probably in South Africa. This hue also extends to the rim flanges on the black 21-inch AMG Forged Cross-Spoke wheels and brake calipers (with white AMG logos).
Coming standard with this special edition are the AMG Night Package, AMG Extended Night Package, and AMG Aerodynamic Package, which bring complementary features to the front splitter, A-Wing trim, exterior mirror caps, side sills, and glossy black rear accents. Black chrome is also given to the radiator grill and twin tailpipe trims.
More Elegance Inside
On the inside, you’ll notice the elegance of the AMG Performance seats, which are covered in hand-stitched Nappa leather in black with gold diamond stitching. There’s actually a lot of gold accents on the interior, including on the AMG Performance steering wheel, armrest, center door panels, center console, and instrument panel. Likewise, the high-pile floor mats have black Nappa leather piping and gold stitching. There’s also a special MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast badge on the door of the center console.

Again, limited to just 100 units, the 2025 AMG SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast will arrive at Mercedes-AMG dealerships later this month. No pricing info has been revealed yet but you can expect this to be higher than the high-end of the 2025 SL 63 trim options, which cap out around $208,000.
