In 1967, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin captured what’s widely considered to be the best evidence mankind currently has for the existence of Bigfoot in the form of a roughly-one-minute clip of the cryptid walking across the bank of a river in wilds of Northern California. Over the subsequent years, an increasing effort has been made to verify the existence of the bipedal, ape and human-like creature, though thus far this effort has been to no avail. In a bid to help verify and confirm its existence, the Ford Motor Company has built a specially-prepared one-off, off-road-ready Bronco dubbed the “Sasquatch Searcher SUV.”
Basics & Upgrades
Ford’s Sasquatch Searcher began life as a 2-door Bronco Badlands donor optioned with the Blue Oval’s available Sasquatch Package. With a factory lift kit, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels shod in 35-inch mud-terrain tires, Dana electronic locking axles fore and aft, and flared fenders at all four corners, the Sasquatch Pack-equipped Bronco is already an extremely capable off-roader, though the Michigan marque has nonetheless opted to treat the one-off to a myriad of additional go-anywhere bits such as a roof-mounted light bar, steel bumpers and skid plates, hood-mounted light pods, and a forward- and rear-facing camera system. When not out hunting for Bigfoot, Ford’s Sasquatch Searcher has been designed to make resting and relaxing easier thanks to the inclusion of an attached fold-out awning and a set of custom camp chairs.
The Custom Camo Wrap
The entire vehicle has been cloaked in a custom camouflage wrap reminiscent of the Real Tree pattern. This livery wrap allows the 4×4 to seamlessly blend in with its surroundings, making it an ideal vehicle for discovering a certain bipedal cryptid — as well as making it a fantastic hunting rig. The exterior of this factory-backed one-off also boasts bespoke Sasquatch badges and custom puddle lights.
A Customized Cabin
Like its exterior, the inside of this factory-built one-off features custom upholstery. The interior of the Bronco Sasquatch Searcher has also been bestowed with custom sill plates and a unique console badge using the same logo as the exterior badges.
An EcoBoost Powertrain
At the heart of the Sasquatch Searcher is Ford’s tried-and-true turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four engine. Offering a towing capacity of up to 3,500lbs, the Bronco Badlands-based one-off puts down up to 300hp and 325ft-lbs of torque. It is, however, unclear if this one-off comes with the SUV’s available 10-speed automatic transmission or seven-speed manual gearbox.
The Clothing Capsule
Though only one person can win the SUV, Ford is still offering a little something for everyone else. Alongside the one-of-one SUV, Ford has also announced a limited edition Bronco Sasquatch Searcher apparel lineup. This includes t-shirts reading “Sasquatch Believer” that’s available in a hunter orange version of a forest camo variant that mirrors the one-off SUV’s custom wrap. There’s also a camo trucker hat that sports the build’s Sasquatch badge logos, camo wrap pattern, and a classic Bronco logo.

The first to successfully solve these clues will then be awarded the SUV.
