First established in 2013, Rezvani Motors is a boutique Southern California-based automotive manufacturer founded and headed up by Iranian-American designer Ferris Rezvani. Though the company is almost certainly best known for its behemoth Tank model, the brand’s roots lie in high-performance sports cars. And for its latest release, the firm is returning to these roots while simultaneously drawing from the past in order to deliver the all-new Porsche 911-based Rezvani Retro — or RR1.

Initially, the Rezvani Retro will be offered across three trim levels, starting with the 992 Carrera S-based RR1-550, which features a 550-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six. Based on Porsche’s 992-gen GT3, the second model is the RR1-565, which packs a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six making 565hp. At the top of the range is the RR1-750, which is a 992 Turbo S-based offering with a turbocharged 3.8-literr flat six and 750hp on tap. Adorned in a custom set of carbon fiber bodywork that takes inspiration from 1970s era race cars, each RR1 model is offered with the buyer’s choice of either a six-speed manual, a seven-speed manual, or Porsche’s PDK system. The 550, 565, and 750-spec models also boast zero-to-60mph times of 3.1 seconds, 3.0 seconds, and 2.0 seconds, respectively.

Though they’re objectively high-end and thoroughly high-performance, all three model variants are being offered with a generous host of available upgrades. On top of custom livery graphics, this includes lightweight polycarbonate windows, an internal roll-cage, and racing harnesses.. Several component upgrades are also being offered such as up-specced Brembo brakes and available Ohlins TTX-Pro coil-overs. Developed for the track though fully street legal, the entire vehicle rides on a custom set of retro Turbo Fan-style wheels with 10” x 20-inch items out front and 13” x 21-inch units out back.

Limited to just 50 units worldwide, the Rezvani Retro is available for order now, with pricing starting at $149,000 — not including the cost of the 992 Carrera S, GT3, or Turbo S donor that the car is built around.
