As two American brands with an immense passion for speed, thrills, and motorsports, it only seemed natural that Polaris would eventually take on a collaborative project with famed tuning outfit ROUSH. And while its still early into the 2023 year, the two companies have already revealed their first joint effort with the Polaris Slingshot ROUSH Edition.
Based on Polaris’ existing range-topping Slingshot R platform, the ROUSH Edition is powered by a 2.0-liter Prostar inline-four engine that cranks out 203hp and 144ft-lbs of torque, ultimately allowing for a 0-60mph time of 4.9 seconds and an electronically-limited top-speed of 125mph. Weighing in at 1,692lbs at the curb, the ROUSH Edition Slingshot is offered with the buyer’s choice of a five-speed manual gearbox or a paddle shifter-equipped AutoDrive transmission — both of which send power to a single 12-inch-wide rear tire. This LE model also comes loaded with aluminum Brembo four-piston calipers with slotted rotors, Polaris’ second-gen variable speed-sensitive electronic power steering, a full-on ROUSH Edition graphic package complemented via fully-blacked-out badging, and the Slingshot Excursion Top — all as standard amenities.
Sporting a black and red ROUSH theme throughout, the cockpit of this limited edition Slingshot comes outfitted with special ROUSH-inspired sport seats, Sparco pedal covers, a black ROUSH Block R-branded shift knob with red accent stitching (for the manual version), and a limited edition flat-bottom steering wheel with ROUSH red center-stripes. What’s more, alongside a Rockford Fosgate stage 2 100-watt audio system with an expandable amplifier and automatic volume control, the cabin of the ROUSH Edition Slingshot also features a Bluetooth-connected RIDE COMMAND 7” touchscreen display that features live weather and traffic reports, Apple CarPlay compatibility, GPS navigation, and a feed to the Slingshot’s backup camera.
Available for order now, the 2023 Polaris Slingshot ROUSH Edition has been priced starting at $37,349 for the manual version and $39,499 for the AutoDrive variant.
