We’ve grown accustomed to seeing utilitarian-inspired gear from Nike ACG, but the Swoosh is looking to get in on the action this fall. The label’s tactical Special Field Boot is being redesigned by Nike Sportswear for the first time.

Compositionally, weather-resistant nubuck leather composes the winter-ready stomper’s upper, promoting elemental protection and optimized longevity, two factors that pave the way for a pair of boots that won’t need to be replaced too soon. Then, they’re rounded out with a plush sock liner and placed atop a Phylon compound for lightweight cushioning. The boot is available in two colorways — Light Taupe/Dark Mushroom and Black/Light Taupe — that are subtle enough to work with any technical outfit you have in mind.

Moving on to the remarkably grippy outsole, it offers top-tier traction thanks to its strategically placed rubber sections. A tactical pair of boots is bound to bode well in unpredictable conditions, and this option from Nike has everything you need to get from Point A to Point B with no lack of traction or unwanted slippage. Lastly, the boot features a 6-inch collar for idealized ankle support that is sure to assist in keeping them warm.
