With military gear needing to stand up to use in some of the planet’s most hostile and unforgiving conditions, it’s frankly unsurprising that modern everyday carry gear often takes a page out of the mil-spec playbook. In addition to hardwearing constructions, another trait the EDC realm routinely borrows from the military world is color. And while these are primarily earth tones, few if any are as popular or as commonly utilized as the classic OD — or “olive drab” — green. To celebrate this tried and true military hue, we’ve hand-selected a collection of OD green offerings for this week’s Everyday Carry spread.
Acta Non Verba Knives Z100
Tipping the scales at only 3.55oz, Acta Non Verba Knives’ Z100 model is a lightweight yet immensely capable everyday carry flipper knife that’s constructed around a set of OD green G10 scales set over a stainless steel liner lock. Deployed via a flipper tap with an embedded Lumi Dot insert, the Z100’s blade consists of a stonewash-finished 3.50” drop point item that’s composed of a 58 HRC-rated Sleipner steel. Made in the Czech Republic, the Z100 also sports a reversible bent-wire pocket clip and the brand’s signature zigzag logo along the spine of the blade.
Porter Yoshida Tanker Wallet

What’s more, the Tanker Wallet also boasts a Velcro-fastening security pocket along with two billfold compartments and a zipper-secured coin pouch. Measuring 5” x 4”, the exterior of this wallet also sports a classic Porter Yoshida & Company logo patch, plus an external D-ring for securing the wallet to bags, belt loops, or carabiners.
