Over the weekend, the everyday carry and knife communities lost a legend, as Benchmade founder Les de Asis sadly passed away. To say that he was a visionary is perhaps not expressive enough of his impact, as his designs, passion, humility, friendship, and more helped shape both the world of EDC and knifemaking forever and for the better. While we will all be feeling this tremendous loss for quite some time, Mr. de Asis and his contributions will never be forgotten. In fact, his work and legacy will undeniably go down in the annals of history, even outside our seemingly small community. While it is impossible to capture who he was in a single loadout, we hope this pocket dump serves as a fitting, if small tribute to a great businessman and an even better human.
