As two of the northwest’s most esteemed outfitters, Danner and Filson have a long history of collaborative releases, injecting existing boots from the Portland footwear purveyor with Filson’s signature styles and hardwearing materials. And the latest joint release from these two illustrious companies is the Filson x Danner Trail 2650 Mid Boots.
Named after the 2,650 miles that constitute the Pacific Crest Trail and modeled after trail running shoes, this modern interpretation of a high-performance hunting boot is built atop a Vibram 460 outsole with self-adapting lugs and the brand’s Megagrip compound construction and features a full GORE-TEX liner and Danner’s Trailguard TPU shank and EXO heel counter. Separating this limited edition variant from the regular boot are black mesh elements with tan details that pay homage to Filson’s classic Tin Cloth material, a co-branded tongue patch, and removable Filson-branded Ortholite footbed. Boasting a 4” height and an 8mm heel-to-drop, these lightweight boots tip the scales at just 28oz per pair. Available now, the Filson x Danner Trail 2650 Mid Boots are priced at $198.
