In light of this jubilee, the brand decided to implement premium elements from top to bottom. Starting with the robust, one-piece Horween Chromexcel leather upper, it’s comfortable, durable, and meant to develop an eye-catching patina over time, giving it that fully natural aesthetic you look for in a good pair of stompers. In addition to its debris-eliminating upper, the boot sits atop a Vibram Roccia outsole with an identical tread pattern to the Mountain Trail’s but weighs substantially less, thanks to the consistent partner brand’s Newflex tech. Unsurprisingly, the enhanced silhouette still boasts Danner’s signature stitch-down construction for optimized stability. As always, the 90th Anniversary iteration is crafted right here in the states, as has been the case for nearly 100 years.
