Flat Out Autos Debuts a Two-Door Version of Their Retro K5 Tahoe

Once the doors at the Las Vegas Convention Center open up to the public, all bets are off. Like every year, 2021’s SEMA looks to show off some premier off-roader, truck, and motorcycle builds that some of the finest companies and modders of the world have to offer. And one of the most exciting builds debuting at the show has to be Flat Out Autos’ 2-door version of their retro-tastic K5 Tahoe.

Having put forth their standard 4-door rendition of the classic Chevy at prior shows, the full-service custom shop clearly went all out with the work they did this year. After removing 8″ from its wheelbase and bolstering it with reinforcements along the roofline, the Flat Out Autos team then went on to relocate the Tahoe’s gas tank and shorten the exhaust before rehauling this classic silhouette into a sleek two-door model. Similar to Flat Out Autos’ 4-door build is this model’s still-impressive carbon fiber tailgate hatch, which is equipped with an integrated backup camera. The passenger seat was also made adjustable so as to allow for rear access.

While they’ve managed to pull off similar looks before, what Flat Out Autos has brought to the table (and convention booth) this year is quite impressive, as you would expect nothing but the best when it comes to Sin City’s automotive spectacle. And while the two-door K5 Tahoe was made as a one-off, Flat Out Autos owner Rob Hester tells us that they’re anticipating that demand will lead to subsequent builds.
