Traveling with one watch is easy. But traveling with several can become challenging when trying to decide the best way to store them in transit to a new destination. Too fragile and expensive to trust in a checked bag but easily lost in even a simple carry-on, timepieces are best kept together.

Back in 2020, German luggage giant Rimowa unveiled a travel box made specifically for watches. The case was modeled after the brand’s iconic silhouettes, with a grooved silver aluminum exterior. That desirable aesthetic is perfect for large suitcases, but when it comes to a small insert for your briefcase or rollaway, especially one that’s discreetly holding your valuables, some may understandably prefer a design that’s more understated.

Now, Rimowa has debuted a black anodized aluminum version of its Watch Case, featuring the same grooved pattern on the outside and swapping the navy blue microfiber on the inside with a matching black version. Just as before, the new vessel holds three timepieces comfortably, with padded cushioning for protection all around. The slide-off cover also features a top cushion inside to keep the watches’ faces scratch-free.
Weighing nearly 3lbs when empty, the Watch Case in black is available from Rimowa’s website for $2,470.
