OnePlus has been hinting at a new keyboard for months, and the same applies to several of its other anticipated gadgets. Nonetheless, the tech brand officially unveiled its latest piece of high-tech office equipment, and it’s made in collaboration with one of the space’s biggest names.

Working alongside Keychron, OnePlus put together the Keyboard 81 Pro, boasting many similar functions and design elements found on the former’s flagship device. This includes the sturdy CNC-aluminum frame, Q1 Pro’s double-gasket design for keeping things nice and quiet, and a fully hot-swappable layout for optimized customization. Additionally, it comes equipped with the popular adjustment dial found on Keychron’s keyboard.

The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro is available in two configurations: Winter Bonfire and Summer Breeze. The former is available in dark grey and features a PBT keycap and optimized tactile switch, while the latter is a lighter shade of grey equipped with a linear control and “marble-mallow” keycaps, composed of thermoplastic material for a softer typing experience. The brand says this new form of keys promotes an extended lifespan, claiming that “typing has never been faster or smoother.” Now, all this is great, but how long will it work? Well, OnePlus also says the USB-C-powered device boasts a maximum 100-hour battery life when connecting it to Bluetooth and is compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android, so it’s seemingly ready for anyone.
