Marshall’s Upgraded Set of Retro Speakers Are Made for the Streaming Age

Marshall’s speakers may look old, but their sound is anything but. To keep in line with modern demands, Marshall has just unveiled an updated rendition of each of its home speakers: Acton, Stanmore, and Woburn.

We’ll delve into their audial specs in a moment, but it’s worth noting that a major element of this new release is the speakers’ seamless connectivity, boasting the latest Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility to future-proof their streaming abilities. However, due to the constant expansion of this wireless tech, each speaker in Marshall’s Generation III trio will also be accessible for the latest Bluetooth updates. In addition to serving as a perfect choice for the streaming age, these speakers also account for the world’s modern aim for sustainability, as the PVC-free gadgets are crafted from 70% recycled plastic and vegan materials.

As far as performance goes, the new speakers bring the signature Marshall sound to any humble home, offering an entirely re-engineered soundstage for a wider, more immersive listening experience. The Acton III is packed with a 30-watt Class D amplifier for the woofer and a pair of 15-watt Class D for the tweeters, whereas the Stanmore III features similar tweeters and a 50-watt Class D amp for the woofer. Standing above the rest is the Woburn, equipped with a 90-watt Class D amp for the woofer, two 15-watt Class D amps for the mids, and the same tweeters as its neighboring options.

If you’re looking for the perfect Bluetooth speaker that doesn’t skimp on style and sound, then you’re in the right place. Mashall’s third-generation Acton, Stanmore, and Woburn speakers are now available on the brand’s website, starting from $279.
