LG Steps Into a New Space With Their First High-Octane Gaming Laptop

Gaming is a ceaseless circle that has garnered enough updates to ultimately allow us to take anything we want to play on the go. Undoubtedly, LG is no stranger to the space overall, having manufactured some incredible gaming monitors over the years. However, the South Korean gadgeteers look to dip their toes into uncharted waters, announcing the brand’s very first gaming laptop, and it’s powered up by some impeccable hardware.

LG’s 17G90Q is a high-end piece of equipment that now falls in line with the rest of their UltraGear catalog. Powered by an 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H processor and equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card, the visual prowess of their very first gaming laptop looks to match that of their impressive monitors. Other noteworthy abilities include its 300hz refresh rate and industry-standard millisecond response time, the latter of which surely varies based on personal bandwidth, but is mightily impressive, nonetheless. Boasting a crisp 17.3-inch display and internal 2 Way speaker system, this uber sleek laptop is a mere 0.84-inches thin and weighs a sliver below five pounds, going to show that this much power can still be packed into a lightweight, durable aluminum casing. Of course, it wouldn’t be meant for gaming if it wasn’t finished off with an RGB-backlit keyboard.

While the latest unveil from LG is sure to have PC gamers excited for the market’s latest, don’t expect it to hit shelves too soon. Set for its full reveal at CES this upcoming January, it goes without saying that the company is in for a big 2022.
