When it comes to headphones, Bang & Olufsen is about as premium as it can get. Their vintage-styled home speakers have satisfied both audiophiles and design enthusiasts alike. In 2016 they transposed their tech to the world of over-ear units — with a price tag that was as high as expected. The Beosound H9 was then updated again in 2020 as the H95. And if we’re going based on the Danish company’s typical release timeline, we should be expecting a new model right about…
Now.
Its first pair of headphones in four years, Bang & Olufsen’s Beosound H100 aren’t just the latest generation but have significantly leveled up from even their previous headphones. Let’s take a look.
Beosound H100 Basics
Quite possibly the finest (and certainly the most expensive) over-ear wireless monitors on the market, the H100 are inspired by Bang & Olufsen’s Beolab 90 (i.e., their very expensive $150,000 loudspeaker). This means electro-dynamic, custom-made 40mm titanium drivers with 24-bit, 96kHz support delivered via Bluetooth. Like other B&O units, you can adjust your music’s EQ settings on the phone app.
In terms of noise cancellation, you now get 10 microphones to help you with the process, whereas the H95 only had four. Better yet, this can be adjusted via a haptic dial on the side, just like on previous models. Other audio features include Dolby Atmos and dynamic head-tracking spatial audio. On the other hand, the battery life dropped from 38 hours to 34 hours.
Designed for a Long Life
While you don’t expect to be putting your $1,500+ headphones through the wringer, one of the main hooks of this new release is the ability to replace and service its parts if you need them to be. This includes the lambskin leather on the ear cushions and headband, the battery, and even the drivers. Along with the modularity of the H100 is its five-year warranty, which is pretty nice (and certainly expected for the price tag).

Pricing & Availability
Lastly, you should note the price. While the H95 currently hovers around $1,000, which is staggering enough, the new H100 is listed at a jaw-dropping $1,549. They’re available in Infinite Black, Hourglass Sand, and limited-edition Sunset Apricot colorways. Head over to Bang & Olufsen’s website to order a pair now.
